Why Pilates?

Pilates places emphasis on strengthening your core muscles. It differs from traditional abdominal and leg strengthening due to its focus on alignment and control, which has incredible benefits for anyone who tries it.
It can help recover from injury, ease ongoing aches, pains and muscle tension and improve flexibility and posture.
Clinical Pilates uses my experience as a Physiotherapist to consider your own personal requirements, any injuries you may have and works with you to adjust exercises to your ability.

Mixed Ability Mat Work Classes Run By Qualified APPI Pilates Instructor Katy Neale

As a physiotherapist there is increased expertise in movement and body analysis, to help you get the most out of your practice. In the class the exercises progress from basic matwork to more complex sequences of dynamic exercises. Equipment such as resistance bands and exercise balls are used.

Everyone receives a 121 lesson before the course. This helps to ensure that you have completed an introduction to pilates and any exercises can be adapted to suit you. This is at a special discounted price for those joining the group class.
If, for any reason, a group class is not suitable other options can be discussed.

I will try my best to accomodate you and there is also a waiting list.

Yes, a 121 lesson is a great way for me to get to know how you move and we can review the foundation exercises to help you get the most out of the class.

Just send me an email with the class you wish to join. I will get back to you to reserve your space, or add your name to the waiting list if the class is full.
Once you are booked onto a course a 121 lesson will be arranged before you start.

Since Covid everyone has to bring their own equipment to the class. This includes an exercise mat (15mm thick mat is more comfortable but a Yoga mat is fine ) and headblocks or a pillow. A Pilates Ball and set of Circular Resistance Bands is also recommended. All the equipment will be discussed at your 121 introduction lesson.

If you are unable to make a class you can attend a different class during your current course, availability permitting.
Letting me know as soon as possible will give you a better chance of rebooking.
You are unable to carry a class over to a new course block.
Any cancellations by the teacher will result in a full refund.

It is not possible to do a one off class. All sessions are booked as a course block. Think of it as if you are completing a course.
There are free videos on the website or join me on Social Media to get a taste for the class.
